213 RBSL-ND No dinette!!
First off, this by no means an original idea, I have snake bitten, robbsm, and GTWags to thank for taking out their dinettes first. For the record a complete dinette with the table weighs 130lbs, yes I weighed every piece. My new couch is 150lbs, so I didn't add much weight.
Obligatory empty room shot.
Finished product. The couch was supposed to be 68" long, but was more like 65" tops, gives a little more room on the sides for storing the table.
Bed mode, it's actually very comfortable. For some reason it needs 2 1/4" blocks under the legs to be level, I was told it was designed for a slide out??
While I was in the carpentry mood, I added a door under the bed so you can actually access the huge storage space underneath.
All done.
And a very happy dawnie eating at the table for the first time.

It's been fun picking on you the last few days while you impatiently waited for delivery AND decided to change your identity at the same time.
You're a good sport too.
But the best part of this whole saga is 2-fold:
It appears you got the results you desired. (and it IS nice)
And that pose with the REAL dawniewest is awesome!
Oh, and duuuuude, that's pretty good carpenter skills on the storage door.

She came home with the "mexican" food and I had the margaritas ready, she was shocked.

Mexican is perfect for the First Meal in the new digs.
Gotta ask, is the overhead light fixture OEM?
I ask because they apparently changed to a more chandelier approach (hanging lamp) on mine. And I guess I can understand the aim for ambiance and all.
BUT, it backfires every time you bang your head on it.
I mean, it just doesn't work in a low ceiling height environment of a slide-out.
Wanna swap? Didn't I say ambiance?

Yup, it's stock. I only do dinette removals, no lighting and fixtures.

Hey WildDawnieWest450
The finished project looks awesome! Well done! As soon as we get done with a few home projects, I am sure Sheila will be on the hunt for a sofa bed similar to yours!
Snakebitten, I also caught that light over the sofa. Hey Wild do you want two for double the ambiance?
That door under the bed looks like a fine idea too. My I ask where you found the door with a close match like that to the color?
Enjoy the new set up. I particularly like that you can still sit and eat and sip some adult beverages while being COMFORATBLE!

If you search "rv cabinet door" on ebay, he's usually the first guy that comes up, user name is camparamaofky. Or google the name and it will pop up. It wasn't a perfect match, but because of the lighting and how the mattress hangs over you could never tell.
I was happy we were able to keep the table, I just had to move one leg over a few inches so you could slide in and out a little easier. It looks a little strange but the function is great.

Doesn't look strange to me.
It looks well thought out, in fact.
Now get camping! Call the inlaws immediately.

True story, the bed legs are adjustable, so when you slide them out 2" the bed lays perfectly flat.
In my defense, it ships with zero paperwork, not a lot of assembly but enough to warrant a few simple instructions.

I'm gonna let ya get away with that.
But you've been tee-ing it up lately. At some point it's impossible not to swing!

One of the things I liked best about my 16FB is the "gaucho" instead of the dinette. Being able to relax on a couch is so much nicer than at a dinette. Now, that couch looks sooo much better; but alas it won't fit. :-(
Awesome handiwork!

213 RBSL-ND No dinette!!
Making it your own... you guys are on to something there.
I'd like to swap out my dual recliners for a couch bed and that one looks like it would match. My old 26 ft bunk house TT would sleep a bigger crowd than this 40ft TH. I'm just worried if I can get it through the door?
