Toilet Paper Holders
DW and I have been trying to figure out where and what type of toilet paper holder to put in our bathrooms, looking online at present for free standing styles, as just nothing solid to mount brackets (pocket door) in mbr and thin walls in 1/2 bath. Strange question but what have others done?

I decided not to mount one at all. Just leave the roll sitting on the bathroom counter.

We got a free standing one at Walmart. It is brushed nickel finish so it matches the bath fixtures well.

Thanks for the replies, we took the one out of the raptor to use, but the base is too large, on the 3950 not enough room between wall and toilet base for this style, will keep doing as ATCguy does until we find something at Wally World or Lowes.

Consumer reports,Trailer Life, Oprah and or Sports Illustrated magazines are easy to store but rough to use and are not especially biodegradable.

I was happy that the dealer did not install a holder. We need all the room we can get to turn around
There was a double hook hanger for towels that was installed. I had a crossbody quilted purse (one that has long straps) in the colors of the TT. Two roll of toilet paper fit just fine inside, so I hang it from those hooks. I can still hang towels from there as well.
Works for me, but I wish I had room for this -

Tissue holder mount
We installed a standard tissue holder to the inside of the cabinet door under the sink directly across from the toilet. Out of sight, dry and neat looking.

Coops,
Your supposed to use the Sears catalogue. Still easy to store and rough to use, but they are much more biodegradable.

Too funny ebyler... just did the same thing last week when we got home from dealership. Neat (can't say clean about TP) and out of the way... easy reach.

I too wanted to save room. My sink base is right by the toilet so I bought the recessed type roll holder and cut into the sink base up high by the sink basin. It was room not being used and it only sticks out from the sink base by a couple inches.

My wife got one, don't know where but if anyone is interested I will find out. But it hangs over the top edge of the cabinet door, (sort of like the towel hangers do on bathroom doors.)
We were in the same boat as you all, free standing seems to get in the way and really not a good place to mount traditional roll holders.

Toilet paper holder
What my wife actually got was the one that slips over a standard tank. You can get them pretty much anywhere, I believe she got them at Target. Here's a picture of one like what we got. Just hang it on one of the cabinet doors on the base cabinet and you're in business. LOL

like that option, does it not fit over the tank? That seems ideal...
