Plumbing valve identification
Hi,
I recently purchased a 2017 Rubicon 2900.
The manuals that came with the rig are ridiculously generic and absolutely no help.
I found this valve under the bathroom sink.
It appears to be plumbed separately from the sink connections.
Any idea what it's for our what it does?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Looks like what we call a burp valve, it helps to purge excess air from the system and equalizes the pressure. Never seen one located there before though.

Mine is there too, I traced it back to the black tank flush hose fitting

Wow, I never knew I had one of those until today. Sure enough, it's under the sink but mine runs vertically.

Either that or you store your laundry detergent on it's side.
Just an FYI, if you are using an iProduct to take pictures, reduce the size a bit and they should post right side up. Some odd quirk between iStuff and VBulletin software.

Some advice if needing to winterize...if available use low pressure compressed air to blow the black flush tank line clear....friend of mine forgot and this valve froze/cracked and the first time he flushed the next season, he had a gusher. His was inside a wall and not under the sink.

Finally figured out what this valve is for.
It's a combination anti back flow and anti siphon valve for the black tank flush.
The system turned out to be inoperable due to the valve being installed backwards!!!!
Due to its configuration, I can't simply flip it around. I'll actually have to remove the fittings, shorten one of the tubes, then reinstalled the fittings. Of course this means buying a PEX crimp tool. Still better than taking trailer into moron central, the dealership, for repair.....
Their service department couldn't even identify what the valve was, or its purpose...... Had to determine that on my own!!!!!!

A PEX tool and a bag o crimps will be a great addition to your RV tool box. You never know with these things
A PEX tool and a VOM, very important tools for the RV owner.
