Some Voltage models come with one in the rear floor where it angles down to meet the ramp.

My "value" model V 3105 did not. I assume it's just a box welded in with a heavy duty cover do you can drive over it. If a member who has one could post pictures, bet you could fabricate you're own, or possibly the pieces are available from Dutchman.

For those who have them, curious if they get wet inside?

Paul...
After 4 years, I've never found any water in mine... and I routinely leave my ramp/patio door open/deployed for days at a time, in all types of weather.

The storage area runs the full width of the rig. The entire dovetail space is hollow. If others are the same (provided your rig has the dovetail), you may only need to have a welding shop cut & install a door for access.

With regards to garage storage area. Saw where someone had swapped the access lid around so that the latch was farther away from the ramp thus facilitating accessing the compartment when the ramp was up. Swapped mine around and it certainly makes it easier to open & close when the tailgate/ramp is up and closed.

OK, I admit... I'd never even thought about swapping the access door around until I saw your post. I decided to tackle it this morning.

Pretty simple except for my old knees... took about 15 minutes. While I had it off, I decided to snap a few photos for those above who were asking about it. Just an empty cavity in the dovetail. Not sure if all rigs are the same, regardless of whether there's a door there or not. For those who may be brave enough to find out, I snapped a photo of the parts tag on the door, in case they may wanna look into getting one.

That's the way I see it. And as you can see on mine, it's just wood under the rubber flooring.

EDIT: I actually found the lid in a cached webpage on Trekwood Parts... but when I just checked, it's not listed in their current products. Maybe give them a call to see if they can still get it?

IIRC, Lippert had them in their catalog at one time - can't find them on-line now.
