Best mods for $10.00 or less
We all know the mods page is so long it's not as useful as it could be. So I thought if we broke it up a little by cost, it my make searching easier.
I have to get my pics on-line before I'll post, cause everybody loves pics.

A roll of 3m doublesided tape, Command hooks and strips industrial strength velcro.
About $10 each, DW decides she doesn't like where the pot holder hook is and wants to move it, your not left with a hole in the woodwork.
I hate holes in the woodwork.

Yeah, I've got a bunch of those $10 mods... but I'd guess the majority of mine are in the under $50 category. Towel rack in the bathroom, kitchen utensil holders around the stove, wire rack hung over the washer/dryer, etc.

How about moving the stops in your crank out windows so they open twice as far as stock 3" stock and 6" with the stops removed, makes a huge difference. Been out of ours for a year and haven't had a single issue.
Cost $0.00

The best I have in that category is the $4 to $8 purchase of a leveling jack socket for an electric drill! I don't even have a cordless, I plug in to an extension cord after plugging the camper to the site, and raising the jacks before I unplug from the site. Four quick "whrrrrrs" are SO much better than all that hand-cranking!

300 hbsl, I moved my water pump last weekend, had pressure problems and cancelled our trip, find out the pump is in a corner behind a wall, with access through a bottom drawer, no way to check the inlet filter, so having a BBQ area and a new 3 foot faucet hose, I moved the pump under the removable sink,,, also was disappointed to see a 50 dollar 3gpm pump in my 40 K unit, ( someone made a bundle off of me ),,,, measure GPM In shower area ( only area I really care about ) and found less than 2gpm in a minute time, so purchased a new head and that came today,, will be trying it out ( Had bought an aerator which is 2gpm)

This plastic strip lays in the bottom track and acts as a stop. Pull this strip out with a small regular screwdriver and needle nose pliers. Be careful not to scratch the aluminum track.

Does this not act as any weather stripping?

From the pictures, it looks as though the strip is used as a spacer that sets the limit of travel. Not sure I see any sealing properties to it.
But just my guess.

if you look at the arms and where they glide in the track it will be obvious what you want to remove or trim down, depending on how far out to want to open your window,, that being said it looks like you need to take the handle off and the mount from the window to free up one of the arms... I just looked at mine and saw what needs to be done if I want to open them more..

No, it acts as a limiter as to how far the window opens, that's it.
You don't have to take anything apart. Use a small regular screwdriver (small 1/4" wide works better then wide) to pry one end up. Then needle nose or other pliers to pull the strip out. Be careful not to qouge the soft aluminum, because the rollers on the arms have to roll over that aluminum. When your done give the aluminum a shot of silicone and your done. I did all the windows on our 3950 in about 45 minutes and the air flow is so much better.

Free lighting mod
On our 2013 3950 the overhead recessed lights in the main slide and the wall sconce lights are all switched together. Meaning you can never have just the sconce lights on without the over head lights on, whats the point of the sconce lights then?
The sconce light have switches on them already. I found an unswitched 12v power wire bundled with all the wires that go to the slide out bundle. You just have to unwire the sconce wire from the overhead lights and then connect them to the new 12v power wire. Now we can turn on one or both scones without the 5 overhead beacons shining down on us.

What does that wire that you found go to? I don't think there should not have a hot wire going in field and not be landed.

eightydo, honestly I did this mod a year ago and I don't know/remember for sure where it lands, it's the same color as most of the other lighting wire in the RV. With the added load of 2 LED's, I'm not too worried about taxing an existing circuit.

I ordered all three 10 minute tech books ( each has 600+ mods listed) I ordered from amazon used (like new) each one was $.01 plus $ 3.99 shipping total $4.00. that way I can peruse at my leisure even while under the awning while camping . Lots of good ideas in these books and the price was right plus I can mark up the ones that are usable by me.

Thanks for this, I just ordered all three as well. We will see what kind of tips they give in these.

Thanks that is what I was getting at. I never like to overload a circuit.
