PDI Checklist

I might not have that term exactly correct, but was wondering if anyone has created a PDI checklist that would be useful when taking delivery of a Voltage 5r. I can find many dealing with motorhomes and such, but not for our units. We take delivery of our new 3970 on June 11 and would like to be prepared.

Thank you!

Thanks Matt. Just what the Dr. ordered.
Not sure If the dealer will cooperate with an extended PDI, but if they want my money, they will have to play as they do not have facilities to overnight at their location.

As has been posted in several forums throughout this site, expect to take 2 hours to perform the PDI. DO NOT sign any paperwork OR accept delivery of the unit until EVERYTHING is fixed to your satisfaction. DON'T take delivery of the unit if you find any problems. If they promise to fix it "once the parts come in" and you take delivery of the unit in the meantime, you are asking for trouble.

I would highly recommend purchasing a moisture meter and thoroughly check the walls, ceilings, cabinets, and floors for moisture. You can find them at Lowes and Home Depot. Just get one that does NOT have the prongs as I am sure the dealership would not appreciate you poking them into the interior areas.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

I was going thru my boxes of tools and stuff from a previous job I had and have found I still have a laboratory quality humidity meter in my possession. I am going to install fresh batteries and verify it is still accurate. It has a calibration sticker attached but is long expired.

Never stopped me and my antique analogue pin meter from checking for moisture. I just look for discrete places to pin.

They don't like it, too bad, I've walked away from more than one leaky trailer.
