I am surprised that breathing at night could cumulate that much moisture and enough to drip through the ceiling. But I guess that's very possible, because we have seen condensation on the windows but thought it was from shower and cooking like franktafl had mentioned.
I'm actually living in the trailer parked in my backyard while my house is being slowly and totally renovated. Had been in here for over a year but didn't leak until this year. Could it be the ceiling just so saturated that it can not absorb anymore water and just leaks out?
The floor dehumidifier is just sitting in the middle of the trailer and we don't close the bedroom "doors". After I found this post, I have left it on over night. Despite waking up with dry throat, the ceiling has not leaked since!
I would have not guessed it would be from breathing and didn't even rule that in as a possible source. Really hoping that's it, but the amount of water... hahaha.
Well, now I think I need to replace my ceiling panels because they're most likely full of mold. Also, would putting in insulation above the ceiling help? Just wondering what I can do to prevent this after I fix it up.
