There should be a couple of spring loaded pins you can pull to open the panels and allow them to swing out of the way of the ramp opening.

Sounds like your battery switch was in the off position. If you are plugged in or have the genset running, the panel will operate but not enough amps will be available form converter to lift unit....

Some will, but enough will remain to do the job. The band clamp and the elastic nature of the outlet itself will seal it properly .

There is some plumbers putty on the pipe. I just loosened the clamp, took my time, wiggled and twisted the pipe and it came out with little effort. Be careful and not pry on the end of the tank...
