I'm not near my rig, does anyone know what size lugs are on the Voltage 3200's? Are they all the same, or do they vary?

Just got this from Sparks, Inc. Anyone used HTL2's?

Continental HTL2 Eco Plus tires. You are getting a stronger tire for less money. The Continental is a load range J, 18 ply tire, the Goodyear is a load range H 16 ply tire. They are both 75 mph rated. The only thing with the Continentals, they are made in the Czech Republic. They do have a comparable warranty program to Goodyear.

The Continental tires are $35 less per assembly.

I also didn't care for the fact that they were made overseas, but the shoulder of the tire is a lot for square than the Goodyear as well and this will allow it to stand up better to the sidewall flex that happens when our multi-axle rigs are turning very sharply - especially the way we have to crank the wheel to back in some places.

EDIT: I emailed them and they emailed right back! They do mount and balance.
They are fast as well - shipping today (Tuesday) and they will be in Port Huron tomorrow. Another item of note is that they install 200 psi rated valve stems so you can run them right up to the recommended tire pressure with no worries.

Personally I like the Continental tires, I have a friend who works in Auburn hills for Continental , help support my neighbors , he drives a Ford. That's great DONZINGER you will have them for your big weekend. Post a few pics if you find time with the last minute rush. I am going to wait a few weeks , please give some feed back. My lead foot and drive it like you stole it will be on hold , slow lane I-75 and antacids handy.Few more weeks the new pole barn for the Voltage will be completed, weather drying up finally.

Good deal on pole barn. I have a VERSA TUBE shelter ordered for mine. Built my pole barn two coaches ago and we kinda outgrew it!

After reading this thread it seems to make more sense to spend $600 each for a 17.5 inch tire & wheel instead of the $400 each for the G614s???

Call me crazy but the stock Westlake tires look prutty stout and I'm gonna roll on those at least this season. I hope all the problems everyone is talking about are with the Akuret tire. Went through this same issue with my Heartland trailer and the TowMax tires.

At $400 each for the Goodyears it's $$ down the drain. All five of my OEM Goodyears on my Teton failed. They might be American made but there not heavy RV made. . Like I stated before problem is 16" tires no matter where made just don't hold up on heavy RV,s. I'll stick with 17.5"

After reading this thread and thousands others like it, I've decided to replace the Akuret tires on my 5th wheel. I'm looking at Maxxis 235/80-16, which is a direct replacement and will fit the stock wheels. I found at good price and DiscountTireDirect.com will match/beat it so I'm going to order them in the next few days.

Other than going with LT tires, G or F rated tires that require larger wheels, does anyone see a flaw in my plan?

Double check there load rating. I believe it to be 3420 each @ 80 psi

Not pointing out flaws at all. But there are g rated tires that does not require change in your wheel. Unless your wheel is different and can't do the 110#. Just throwing another log on the fire for ya.

I have heard nothing but praise for the Maxxis tires, they are highly recommend by everyone on the Heartland & Good Sam Forums.

I should be good regarding load ratings. With six tires I can carry over 20,000 lbs. I only weigh in around 16,500 lbs and 3000 lbs of that is on the pin.

I appreciate the info, and you are spot on about the stock wheels only being rated for 80 psi.

I've read the same about Maxxis over on rv.net (which I think is the same as the Good Sam forums). Anyone want to buy a few Akuret tires? Like new!

I lucked out with the Akurates and didn't have any issues in the 3000ish miles I put on them. I was planning on replacing them soon or later, but when I had my coach at the dealer for something, I asked the service manager about the tires and he wasn't impressed by them, so I changed them that day with the Carlisles from Discount Tire...I hope they're ok. I think since I have the 3200 and it's pretty heavy with just the two axles, I'll be investing in 17.5s eventually.

Sure is nice when people do what they say. That is awesome. I ordered mine thru discount tire direct, delivered to a store in Indiana, then put on and the westlakes bagged up in the garage before I ever made it to Indiana. Just waiting for me to head home. Great customer service is a wonderful thing!

Mine go on bright and early in the morning so I can recalibrate the TPMS to the higher pressure.

BTW - got a set of tires with rims for sale! Only 600 miles on them...

On the rims, if you don't get rid of the set, hit me back. I will be at some time getting one more to get rid of the steely

That is definitely an oprtion. May keep one for my spare, hook you up and sell a set of 4 - selling set of 6 may prove difficult...
