Flag pole
We love flying flags. Taller the better. This is my last, bumper mounted. Any Voltage flying flags, and where and how are you securing them. Pics would be great.

Headed to MIS in two weeks - will post mine. Used to have ladder mount on last rig, but it stressed the ladder - made pound in the ground type now.

Installed this flag pole yesterday...
Ramp mount about 8 ft up + 22 ft pole = 30ft high.
I need to mount some type of bump stop on the pole or trailer,
with the wind it was deforming the drip spout.
I think I'm going to hole saw the center out of a soft football,
Texas Tech of course, to slip over the pole below the drip spout?

I got the setup from Camping World that attaches to my ladder. Works great.

This mod is on my "to-do" list. Have an aluminum sectioned pole that came with a flag. Was thinkng of using 2 shorter poles from the 5 sections.
That is my real question, how to mount them securily, and easily put up & down, without defacing trailer any more than I have to.
I'll follow this thread to see what ideas ya'll come up with.

I thought about mounting a flag pole... but think I'll just stick with my windsocks for awhile.

Absolutely love them flags, I have a 20ft telescoping aluminum pole and I fly my flags when we take the trailer. We have a mount in the front on the tongue and one on the back.

The Nerf ball cut out with a hole saw did the trick,
it keeps the pole off the edge and away from the drip spout.
I've flown the skull & cross bones ever since our pirate days,
I may take it down now that the King is back!!!

22 foot flag pole
I didn't take a picture of the foam kids toy noodle that I used to help keep the paint safe. $1.99 pool toy foam 4 foot noodle worked great.Flag was great conversation piece at the campground.

I mounted flag with flag pole buddy on ramp door lock bar pole. I only was able to do this with latch on one side unlatched. With tailgate ramp down its not an issue. I took my ladder with me, thought I would need it to mount flag , but never used it.

Correct, flag pole buddy, mounted right onto the ladder. Just angled so that it won't hit the drain up top.

Did you use the provided lag bolts? The holder is sitting at home waiting for me to return.

I used the self tapping sheet metal screws that came with the flag pole holder. I broke the first one off because the pilot hole I drilled was too small. After sizing up the drill bit they snugged down tight and held solid.

I went with the pole n holders one. I mounted it a bit lower so I would not have to climb so high. It does not impede with opening the latch for the ramp. When I received the holder the mounting tabs were welded in the center of the holder and would rest against the trim moulding. I used a press brake and turned them in about 60* or so that moved it away from the trailer and had a good flush mounting surface. Also used rubber washers between the mount and holder. They kinda squished out some. May get some smaller ones in the future.

Fan,
Great idea, to get the pole off the trailer in the wind. I don't have a press brake, but I'll bet my friend that manages an oil field shop can help?
