I decided to go with the 215 75 17.5 continental. Received order in two days. I was worried the 235 would be too tall but after installation looks like there would have been plenty of room. If I had a do over i would have gotten 235. They have a much higher weight rating and i think they would look better. This is on a 3605 fyi

Sure would be nice if they made a 235 85 16 that was reliable. But, if I have to upgrade to the 17.5 I will to be safe.

Slightly cheaper at trailer tires and wheels in edon ohio. I personally feel a quality 16" tire would be fine if you have three axles or two axles and are under 13,000 to 14,000 lbs

Thanks Robsco. What would you think is a good 16" title? I do have three axles on this beast.

I was considering goodyear g614 and michelin ribs. I'm sure others will have different opinions.

I lost all five of my Goodyear G614 on my Teton so I sure don't recommend them.

I had the Michelin XPS Rib on my last 5er after loosing 3 of the 4 Goodyears (not G614's BTW) and was very happy their performance - that rig was not nearly as heavy as my 3950, so I bit it and went with the 17.5 Continentals.

I read this and wonder.....how could you loose five tires.
Please tell the story.
I recommend the 17.5" wheel and tire combo, but really. I would like to know how you went through five G614 tires.

I kinda figured the spare also. But how five tires. They start showing signs. And why hold out to the last one.
Really ain't none of my business.

Lost the first one in Oregon in 2004 it just spit the tread off. Got a replacement there because I had the casing. Lost 2 in July the next summer 2005 within 10 miles of each other. Middle of the desert and 117. Parked the trailer & drove into Las Vegas. No 14 ply tires in stock only 10 plies, bought those. Lost another in sept of same year was only ten miles from home. Now which tires & the dates are but I do remember where. Lost one 5 miles from home heading out to Quartzsite Az. Lost another on I-15 coming down the Cajon Pass, lost another on I-70 just into Colorado. Lost one in Rapid City S.D. and lost 2 with in ten miles of each other on I-80 out of Rock Springs Wy.
The ones in Wy caused over $4,000 worth of damage. Insurance paid for that. That's when I decided I needed to spend the $ (how much had I already spent ). So I switched to 17.5 rims & tires on the Teton in 2011. Why I didn't do it sooner...........yea that's all hindsite now.
Just for those thinking he's over weight or under inflated I always checked tire before leaving & walk around at each stop & look at tires. Weighted the Teton tires not overloaded. Also I was a Fleet Manager with over 500 vehicle so I know about vehicles & tires.
So now you know ................."the rest of the story"

Without help, NO VOLUNTEERS, I braved the 100 plus temperatures and got all 4 tires installed.. I adjusted the brakes and now all that remains is torquing all the lug nuts. The tires doesn't even look like that have a load on them. I think they are going to be a winner.☼☼☼

I have a friend who has 17.5 goodyears on his toy hauler. The 1 tire jus blew out and the date code was just past 5 years by a few weeks. Goodyear paid for all the damage and gave him 5 new tires.
I already have the goodyear 614s on my voltage and have no complaints.
