2019 Dutchman 3655 Won't Fill with Water

We have had the trailer for a few months and have never been able to get the water tanks full. We use a guage and fill the water very slowly. We can get no more than 36 gallons of fresh water in the tanks. Does anyone have a solution? It's frustrating to have so much water storage, but not ability to use it!

Does water run out of the overflow or does it back flow when you are filling?

I had the same problem. there was a piece of plastic over the vent tube. try blowing down the vent tube to see if you can clear the obstruction.

I use a hard plastic straw and blow hard in the small overflow hole. Trapped air is then vented, and you can fill it.

A very common problem with Dutchmen is the vent tube from the tank is not held up high enough. It should be routed so it remains above the top of the tank, otherwise it will get "choked" off with water and stop the vent process.Which also explains the need to vent the tank with a straw, it's not venting.
Reroute the vent line higher.

Add a long clear flexible tube to your hose before putting it in the fill hole. Also blow into the vent tube prior to filling.

I have a Voltage 3200 with identical probem, can only get about half of the water into the tank then it overflows out fill tube & will actually shoot water halfway across the state. Have tried filling super slow and stopping to try again later but with same results. Suspected it was a vent problem and will try straw approach, thanks for info!
