FYI, I tried hooking up my iPhone to the USB port while using the phone to play music via the mp3 port so as to charge the phone. No go. Music played fine but still no charging. However, also...

Thanks. If that works, it solves the problem of not being able to charge my iPhone (iPod) at the same time I am playing music.

So theoretically, you could hookup a stereo cord to the MP3 port for playback and a USB cord to charge the device simultaneously. Have to give that a try.

Just curious FlyingDutchmen, which type of aux cable did you get and did you hook up to the USB port for playback or the MP3 port?

iPods, iPhones, etc. are not connected to the touch type entertainment center through the USB port rather they are connected to the MP3 port with a standard 3.5 mm stereo cord. I thought my iPod and...
