Members are noticing that newer RVs, like the 2018 Alpine, often lack traditional 12V "cigarette lighter" outlets that were common in older models such as the 1994 Prowler. These outlets were previously used for powering a range of devices, but many RVers now find none installed and are considering adding them aftermarket. The consensus is that manufacturers are shifting toward USB outlets, reflecting the prevalence of USB-powered devices.

Some members suggest checking near the TV...

Our 1994 Prowler had multiple "cigarette lighter type" outlets. We used them to power various items, phone chargers, 12 volt fas and vacuum cleaner. Our 2018 Alpine has 0 such outlets. So I'll be installing one or two inside this spring.
Are all new RV's like this now?
Check by the TV antenna. There might be a amplifier to help with over the air signals and if there is there also might be a 12v receptacle there. But as Franktafl says, everything is USB these days so not surprised.

12V cigarette lighter plugs were intended to light cigarettes, not power devices. They became a standard power port because they were the only way to get easy access to 12V power in a car.
A lot of people are going to Solar Generators to supply power for various chargers and appliances. There are multiple brands, such as Bluettie and Ecoflo. My favorite is Anker Solix. They are easier and more effective than adding 12V ports.

Solar Generators are handy if your requirements match the unit's capabilities. Not so handy if you decide you want to add more PV panels, or more battery storage, or you decide you need a higher wattage than it can produce.

Most solar generators allow many more solar panels to be installed. The better ones also allow expansion batteries. We've also used regular batteries and solar to provide additional charging to solar generators. The solar generators cigarette lighter plug will continuously charge it at about a 100w rate, 24hrs a day.
