Water tank not filling all the way

I went boon docking last year and tried to fill the water tank. It showed that it was full by spewing water where the hose was, but it only took on about 25 gallons. I was told the vent hose probably had a crimp in it, but I do not know how to get to the vent hose. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. There was a piece of plastic over the vent hose!

My answer

The way I fill it all the way is with an adapter I made to fill from the low point valve. Put the adapter in it on a water hose and fill it till the water comes out of the fresh fill port and you have filled both tanks.
