I went to load some items in my wardrobe and found that the entire front wooden face of the wardrobe and drawers had detached from the slide. It looked like it had been held in place by maybe four aluminum staples... Really? Anyway, I just found this, and I'm scheduled for a trip on Tuesday, but it doesn't appear likely at this point....
Has anybody had a similar experience? If so, how did you fix the problem?
This is on my 2022 Astoria 2533RDF

Thanks...

Not going to be easy, and I don't think I'll repeat their very weak installation techniques.... VERY aggravating! See photos...

You might consider just removing the front for your trip and fixing later to allow any glue/nails time to cure.

Lots of bumping and jostling while on the highway.

That is one of the few things in my Voltage that hasn't failed. Lots of other trim pieces everywhere have fallen off and had to be glued or stapled/nailed again.

Removing it for the trip was indeed my plan this morning, but, the three drawers at the bottom do not come out far enough for removal because they hit the bed frame and I can't remove the rest without removing those drawers...

I do appreciate the suggestion...

I have reattached this piece using self drilling screws into the aluminum square tubing of the slide, and secured the shelving and drawers that were affected... But, if properly built, an owner shouldn't have to deal with such issues..... I had contacted Dutchmen and was told that I should take my rig to a dealer, have the dealer request warranty coverage, even though I am beyond the coverage period, and have the dealer request a beyond warranty coverage.... Yeah, I'm pretty sure I know how that would have worked out...

RV's are built like crap, and if you are not good at DIY, you'll be taken to the cleaners....
