In the coming weeks, we will be moving towards a simpler login using your email address (which is private) and password but first we want to make sure the address associated with your account is accurate.

Next week we will be prompting all forum members to verify their contact email as they login to the forum.

Many members have ancient e-mail addresses associated with their current accounts and so next week as you login we will ask you to affirm your email address is correct or to update it. If you need to update your email address please follow the prompts and then check your inbox for a confirmation email to your new address. If you are updating your e-mail address, there is a link in that email you will need to click to complete the process. You can then proceed as usual to login with your current user/pass information.

Once members have had time to verify existing addresses (or update them if needed) we will make the change to logging in with that address (a few weeks from now). We appreciate your patience as we go through this process.

All good, look forward to the update!

Just a quick note: today this verification process has been implemented. If you have substantial trouble you can click the contact link at the bottom of the page to reach the help desk.

Hello Janet. I seem to be having issues using FireFox on the site. Gives me loads of errors. Is there anything happening to the forum that would cause this or is FireFox implementing some changes that would cause issues with the site? I cleared cookies and it will connect ONCE then I keep getting the error.

Frank

here's the error...

The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to www.dutchmenowners.org.

I've been using Firefox since joining a few years back. No problems with the browser or the group log on for me.

Mozilla has a few suggestions regarding the reason for the problem.

It's only been since the last update of firefox. I've done my due diligence and can't figure out what the issue is. I have noticed lately that there is more advertising popping up within the forum itself which has been a bit annoying but i understand that this is a "free" forum and someone needs to pay for the upkeep. I have switched back to Chrome and it seems to be working better but really would like to use firefox instead. I have not figured out what FF is looking for when I attempt to open the forum site but I'll work on it when I have a bit more time.

You need to make sure cookie exchange is enabled with the site. (browser setting) We use cookies to keep you logged in at page changes and this may be the issue.
