Underbelly tape

Does anyone have a great way to patch the underbelly once it has been cut. It seems no matter what kind of tape I use it comes off after a month or so. The best so far is Gorilla Duct tape. I have also cleaned the underbelly prior to applying. I'm sure it pulls the tape when traveling. Has anyone used Eternabond?

How wide is the gap?

I have used a caulk to fill fairly significant gaps. The product. I used is call the Big Stretch.

It cures to a rubber like material that stretches and flexes with the movement of the underlying surface.

I have used it to fill the gap between the wall and shower stall. It just keeps flexing and stretching, but holds on.

DOW makes a construction tape that we use on foam board before the application of siding. This is some very sticky stuff and is light weight. It's called Dow Weathermate Construction tape.

We use a different type of weather proofing tape around openings and it is very sticky also but would be more applicable to vertical application because it is thick bodied and heavy. It's DOW's Weathermate Flashing tape

I'd give the light weight tape a try, I know from expericence it sticks to most everything, even me. Don't use it if you're a wanted felon because it leaves a great finger print.

Stop by a construction sight where they are putting up foam board and ask if they might have a little left on a roll they might give you.

I have seen what was called underbelly repair tape on some online retailers. I will try and find it.

My unit had black spray foam around cracks and gaps from the factory. I found some at Home Depot called pond foam and used it when I redid my battery setup. It was black unlike the traditional interior stuff.

About every home improvement store I have come across carry it. I have even seen it in a couple campgrounds.

I always have a least one tube in the TT along wIth the other stuff and the caulking gun.

I am tempted to try it on the rubber roof, when I find a crack developing in the self leveling around a joint. I just ahve to get Docn's opinion and I'm off.
