Hello everyone. I'm Glenn, first time 5th wheel owner. I have owned many bumper pulls and am really looking fwd to this. I am retired Navy, disabled and preparing to enter a new phase in my life. I'm 59 and single. I bot my first Harley this year April 30. 18,000 miles so far this year. It's really changed my outlook on life. I'm liquidating all I own. The only things left to sell are 2.5 acres in La Center, WA and a Ford short bed custom Leer canopy. Once those are gone I'm loading the Harley into the 3305 and hitting the road. I will visit different military bases throughout the nation and an occasional trip up into Canada I'll pull on the base and unload the Harley and ride for a day, a week, a month until I've seen all in that area of the country. Then I'll pickup and move to another military base. If the weather goes bad, I'll head for good weather I can ride. So many questions I want to pick your brains about. Looking fwd to getting to know my fellow Dutchmen owners.

Welcome Glenn from another Vet. down here in the desert around Palm Springs Ca.
If looking for a winter warmer area to stay in there is the 29 Palms Marine Base out here.;)

Welcome to the forum from another Navy Vet and ex-Harley rider. Sounds like a plan... Report back often to let us know what you are doing

That's what it's all about Glenn. Thanks for your service. You'll enjoy this forum. There is nothing the guys here can't diagnosis or fix. Look forward to hearing from you.

Sure sounds like you have recently discovered a new sense of freedom!
Ain't it great to break free of the old boundaries? :)
There's a bunch of fellas here that will be more than willing to answer those questions you have. (Likely not me, when it comes to the 5th wheel)

And don't be shy about posting up some pics of your rig and the adventure riding you are doing. Some of us will enjoy living\riding vicariously through you.

Welcome!

And thanks for your service. You've earned this new freedom, as far as I'm concerned.

Welcome Lost, As the guys and Girls have stated, Enjoy that new part of your life……As for me the HD is gone because of the wife, so my fun is my Boat and ATV, so I will wear my HD shirts from the places I have gone, and watch the places your going to visit….Good Luck, and safe riding…..

First of all, thank you for your service to our country. My father was a civilian who worked for the Navy out of Alameda Naval Air Station. Our family spent 5 years in Japan at Atsugi Naval Air Station from 1968-1973. My dads dream was to sell the home and see the country via a motor home. His health was not good and my mom wouldn't budge. She was afraid something would happen on the road and she would be stuck. He never realized his dream. Please have a great time! I'm sure you have earned it!
