Our 2018 Coleman 263bh has a queen bed that has a storage space beneath it. However, it is only accessable if you hold up the mattress and lift the hinged panel.??
I added sliding drawers on either side using existing wood paneling to create some usable storage. Wonder why Coleman didn't do this?

Nice job!
You really don't wonder why Dutchman didn't do this, do you?
Working on your RV that question will come to mind many times.
I wonder why they can't use quality tires on the RVs but I know the answer so no more wondering.

Thanks. No, I really didn't wonder. But it would be easy for them. Tires are a whole different conversation. I'm swapping mine to Goodyear Endurance ST's as soon as I can.

Looks great. I know I have modified ever RV I've ever owned. :D

Great idea, I might do the same with mine, I did seal up that big hole
under the bed that was open to the front storage compartment, sealing it really help with A/C and heat. Thanks for sharing

I did likewise. Cold air came up from storage so I insulated both on top of the bed platform and inside storage and caulked as well. It really does help. Thanks.

Excellent mod for sure. Drawers are nice there but for me I prefer the air assist lift with a very large space, storage for big items like tables and chairs and winter clothes in extra large vacuum bags. Glad they didn't put drawers under mine!

I like the large storage as well. I have another beneath the lower double size bunk that I use as you described. I just got tired of having to lift the mattress up to get to my storage there. Thanks for your response and safe traveling to you.

Just completed another drawer storage mod under the dinette benches, giving easier access to this space without pulling cushions and plywood up.https://goo.gl/search/Image

Great job! I was thinking of adding drawers or air assist. What size sliders did you use?

Can you tell me where you bought those slides and how much they cost?
Bought those from place in Birmingham called HGH Hardware. Pricey at $45.00 a pair but they are full extension heavy duty 24". You can get regular duty for half that, but since I built my drawers of 5/8" ply I felt I needed them.

What size did your drawers end up for under the bed?
