Squeaky floor

IN your opinion is it possible to shim the floor between the table and counter looking at it from underneath?
Lary

I took a closer look today when I replaced the tank sensors, I believe you will be able to support the floor by the table.

All tank levels are now working. Bozos at the factory didn't hook up the ground for the freshwater tank too. Two tanks without proper wiring is just wrong.

My freshwater tank centerline sits just forward of the centerline of the front axle. Lining up the split in the windows at the table you should be able to support the floor by the table.

I am going to place a 1X6 on top of a 2X4 set on edge to form a tee as the floor support. Going to bolt a piece of angle iron to the ends of the 2X4 and the use self tappers to attach the angle iron to the trailer frame. There is 68 1/2" between the frame main vertical flanges with a 1 1/2" lip on each side.

The floor structure sucks, it looks like a piece of 1/4" luan ply sandwiching 1 1/2" thick white styrofoam on top and bottom. The smallest of water leaks will kill this floor.

Thank you very much your info is very valuable. In Desert Hot Springs now and will open up the bottom when i get home to Vancouver Island. Will use your idea sounds good.
Thks. Lary

Finished installing the floor supports underneath the trailer, I think it turned out pretty good. A little more work than I anticipated. Built some jigs to locate the brackets to the frame which helped make the install easier. Decided to use 1X12 for the top plate with the 2X4 stiffener.

We are staying in the RV for this month and the floor is starting to squeak in lots of areas. Maybe it's time to upgrade and go to a 5th wheel and get rid of this one.

Just finished fabricating the new freshwater tank support. If the weather holds up will be installing the new support and underbelly tomorrow.

Got the new section of underbelly ready to install, almost 16' long with the overlap at each end. All I need now is a rain free day next weekend to finally finish.
