Squeaky floor

I have a a 287RE Denali travel trailer which has a floor squeak inside doorway between table and sink.Can i stop this(repair) from under neath the trailer?

Hi Lary! I also have a 287 and yes, it can be repaired from underneath. From what I understand, the floor does not quite reach the stud it is supposed to be laying on!

I also have a "soft" floor near the edge of the bed on the bathroom side. The floor is solid but it didn't quite reach the stud so it sags. Dutchmen says it is out of warranty and the three year warranty only applied to any coach purchased AFTER they instituted the warranty. So, ...

Mine is good as far as the bed area goes.at times it's frustrating as far as Quality control.

I have my belly open right now to fix a waste leak. The ground sensor for the black tank was never installed, looks like I washed the debris loose that was clogging it up. Good thing I keep the black tank super clean.

I believe some of my floor creak is from a bent freshwater tank support. I will get some pictures.

Here are some pictures of the open underbelly fom the rear of the trailer to about 3 feet in front of the door. One of my freshwater tank supports is bent. The freshwater tank is located over the axles and the black and grey tanks start about at the door and go forward.

Thank you for the Photo's very informative. A lot crammed into a restricted area.I was going to cut the Chloroplast but lot's of wires rather then remove the whole sheet and use Gorilla duct tape to fasten it back.Hoping to shim floor to eliminate squeak.

I was going to cut the Chloroplast but lot's of wires rather then remove the whole sheet and use Gorilla duct tape to fasten it back. Hoping to shim floor to eliminate squeak.

I ordered a 20' long sheet of replacement underbelly from RecPro. I am going to overlap the front section about two feet over the new middle section, and the new middle section about two feet over the rear section. Going to use the cross supports to screw the center area into for support at the joints. This should make any further underside maintenance easier.

I am going to add some extra floor support in the second and third bay from the rear. The third bay immediately behind the freshwater tank is separated and a little crunchy, when you push on it, it is solid above like the bottom veneer of plywood has separated from the main structure of the sheet.

Between the table and counter no. The freshwater tank sits over the axles, the black and gray are immediately to the front of the freshwater tank with the waste line piping, heater duct and a lot of wiring in-between.

My floor cream is at the end of the sink cabinet behind the freshwater tank. Of course, use my description of where things are located to double check.

20' of underbelly was $160.00 delivered, Camping World in Willis had it in stock and wanted $240.00 for the same thing. Just arrived today, looks good. Just put in the length you want in the link below.
