Sailun tires.

Pulled the trigger and ordered new Sailun 235 85 R16 load range G tires for my V3605. Haven't had any issues with the westlakes but looking for the piece of mind. Every thing I've read stated these are great tires. Will have them installed on Friday. :-tup

You wil notice the difference immediately. Just pick one up and compare the weight to the wetlake. No comparison and the run much cooler and there is very little flex. I have over 10k on ours and no issues. Best decision we made. Make sure to put on high pressure metal valve stems if you do not already.

I purchased the same sailun tires a couple weeks ago to replace the goodyear marathons, will report back in a couple weeks after our trip to mccs san onofre. From what i see in the build quality, and reviews, they seem to be a good choice.

I also have about 10 to 12K on the tires, No trouble at all, I have had to make a couple hard turns, backing into a spot, and they didn't show any flex...You will like them, I run about 100lbs air and my Trailer is close to 20k in weight.

Great Investment!! I swapped them out and they are a great tire.....Get rid of the Westlake as soon as possible...

Well my dealer could not get me the Sailuns as thought so we went with Steelpros. G rated tire. 4400lb rating per tire. Complete over kill for my unit but it made a huge difference. This is an all steel tire. Will see how they hold up.

Hello folks,

I have the V 3200 and thinking of going to a HP tire for peace of mind, which I thought I had with my Maxxis 8008 until this last trip , tire showing sidewall failure and had cord seperation in the other, so here I am at it again trying to find a good tire, so did you also have to switch to a HP rim since you have to run at 110 PSI ? Also how much wider is the sailun tire compared to the stock ST235/80/R16 stock tires is there going to be a clearance issue?

No change of rims, Tire is taller not wider, just weights a lot more, you will like them

I put a set of these on this weekend also. It says max tire pressure is 110 psi. I looked on my rims and cannot find the max psi on them just max load 3960 lbs. I did have them install steel valve stems, which one of them was leaking when I got home. So I have a couple of questions.
1. Is it ok to run that much pressure on these stock wheels?
2. Does anyone see a problem just running 85 psi?

protector...I have a 3200 also.. I got tired of blowouts, separations, and bubbles so i went with a J rated tire and rim. No worries now.. my most difficult is getting somewhere that has air pressure that will pump 125 psi.. It seems most places except for truck stops the pressure is less.
Mine are Continental and look about like a semi tire tread.

Not sure what RV you are running (signature update??), but I Run the Sailun's on my Voltage with triple axles, at 105 PSI. I did find both a weight and eventually a PSI rating stamped in the inside of the rim as I wondered if they could handle the higher pressure. It took a while on my back under it looking around the rims until I found it.
Based on what your weight stamp on the says, I would say you are fine running them at max PSI of 110 if desired, I run just a little less than max.
If is is an 8 Lug rim, I am sure it is rated at the higher PSI, that weight rating seems a little higher than many who run Sailun's S637's also, based on my lengthy searches online in the forums. Just make sure to use a good steel valve. I personally would not sun at 85PSI, as I understand it, the increased pressure of the tire is what allows us to carry closer to our max weights.

Yep - stamped or cast on the inside of the wheel.

I'm quite comfortable running my R250s at 80psi on my tri-axle.

Looks like photos from the back of the wheel, not the inside.

I think 8 lug wheels with max weight 3950 can take 110lbs. I think.

I believe all the 8 lug are good for the higher rated tires as well. I believe the weight load of the rim you have shown exceeds or is darn close to the tire limit, which you wouldd liiky never exceed.

Thanks for the info folks, I decided to find a local tire store here in the Cleveland area where I live that sells truck and trailer tires and that knows their tires I went over to them yesterday and went over my issues and weights. and he recommended the Hercules tires, I have an appointment for later this week to get (5) Hercules H-901 ST load range G. and has a speed rating of (L) which is 75 mph. no saying I tow at 75, but I found out that the maxxis 8008 are only rated for 65 mph. I did check my rims and they stamped 3960 # so I am good for 110 PSI.

May still be an ST tire, but a very nice, affordable alternative. I am on my third year, though they have not had the workout like they had prior to me getting to Maryland, they still look new. Yes, they are still Chinese tires, but the plant is an ISO 90001 certified company, more than you can for the other ST manufacturers. Also, these are commercial trailer tires...truckers need tires that aren't going to blow apart, that means time dickering with tires and not driving to make money. If there is any quality ST tire made specifically for trailers, then this is the one. I have seen a big rig with these on their trailer, have not seen LT or TowMax on those...

Thanks for the info, I am having four of them installed this afternoon on my 3200 TH, and got a fifth one as a spare. I sure hope this solves my tire problems. I thought I was all set with the Maxxis 8008, but lesson learned should of paid more attention to the individual tire weights rather and I know it is equally important but was so focused on axle weights, and combined weights. when I was having problems with china bomb OEM tires.
