Replacing mem foam mattress for air mattress

Has anyone ever replaced an air mattress with a 4 inch memory foam mattress on a hideabed? The aire mattress are not good quality and leak. Wonder if I can store a mem foam mattress in the drawer below the hideabed. its a 53" full size foam pad
