I have an Astoria 2533RDF 5th wheel, 2022 year. First issue was the stupid sliding glass shower enclosure that shattered on one of my first trips. Then, the fireplace tripped fuses constantly. Then the entire bedroom slide facia FELL OFF, the paper crap they use to cover the crap wood surfaces is all bubbling, and now I find that they didn't install the grease block on one of my axles and the bearings are dry....

Clearly, there is no Quality Control procedure at Dutchmen....

Fortunately, although NONE of these issues were covered under warranty, I'm somewhat handy and took care of each item myself. But, I shouldn't have had to address any of these issues myself, and I can't imagine what it would have cost somebody to have taken each issue to a RV repair facility....

I'm too old, and not wealthy enough, to buy a different RV, so I'll keep trying to keep this thing functional, but I am not "a happy camper"..... No more Dutchmen products in my limited future, not that they will care....

QC is pathetic in the industry and at Dutchmen in particular. Be thankful you are handy and can find and fix these issues. More will happen and to be honest they happen across all different manufacturers and price points. My buddy has had multiple issues with his $250k super c and it has been a nightmare.

I do agree that QC at Dutchmen is clearly lacking and the warranty and repair side of the business is equally bad.

These trailers are not regulated by DOT, are assembled by people in a rush to get done and are a bunch of the cheapest, lightest materials you can find bolted, nailed and glued to a frame and then bounced along the highway at 65mph plus for hours and hours. It's not hard to predict any of these problems.

DSOL, Thanks for responding to my rant... I realize that I am not, by far, the only RV owner with similar issues. I always travel with friends who own various RV's, and I have learned to always bring my full tool box because almost every trip I end up fixing something on one or more of our RV's... There should be a warning label on all RVs that are for sale saying, "Warning - If you are not capable of fixing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and metal fabrication features yourself, buying this item will cause you great aggravation and lots of money"....
However, in spite of it all, I still enjoy getting out and and relaxing in various places with my friends...
Happy, and Safe, Travels to you.....
