The only option missing...

Headed to Dallas tonight for my PDI tomorrow...
of course the forecast is for rain on my drive home.

You know how those weather guessers are always right???

Which Explore USA did you buy from?

What a wild ride home... made it safe and sound!!!

I left the Mesquite Explore USA in rush hour traffic down LBJ and took I20 West, passed by Town East Ford where I bought my dually last year, it's a small world.

The weather guessers were right, their rain had passed, but I hit a hard crosswind about Abilene. From the flags it looked like 30 gusting 50 mph. West Texas is lovely in March!!!

The 3895 tracked well and the 6.7 had to downshifted for hills and headwinds to hold 60/65 mph. I won't say she handled it with ease, that was the drive up @ 2000 rpm/79 mph dead.

I'm going to need to find the sweet spots of PSI all the way around. With my 12,500 lb Torque I ran 65 lbs in the TV, no airbags with about 1-2 inches of sag, no Trail Air and it rode smooth.

To get ready for the heavy weight I added the Air Lift Loadlifter 5000 airbags with bump stops. Stopped by Discount Tire on the way and took the TV tires up to the max 80 PSI, put 50 PSI in the airbags and with a full fresh tank @ PDI the Trail Air took 85 PSI to the arrows. (dumped the fresh at the first rest stop)

The Metroplex freeways ring, bump/bump/bump/bump, even in a passenger car. So needless to say I did have a little chucking, which smoothed out some on the highway.

Any recommendations to adjust the PSI in my tires, bags or hitch???

Sounds like a fun ride home.

I find myself taking alternate routes through Dallas on occasion due to the crappy roads. There is one location I go to for the weekend that has me traveling on a toll road so I can get there quicker. That road has to be one of the most wavy, bumpy thing I have ever driven on. My trailer bounces all around. Worse part is, I pay to drive on it.

Have fun with your new camper.

First trip!!!

Close to 100 Red Raider fans joined us on the first trip out in our new Toy Hauler tailgating the Texas Tech spring scrimmage in Midland, Texas... "Guns Up"!!!

Looks like a good time.

Sooner,

I do root for OU one game a year... when they play UT!!!

Here's a pic of me kidnapping Bevo in my old TH from his off season gig at the photo booth in Luckenback. Yeah... I know those fajitas at the Tech Midland Alumni dinner were kinda of stringy!!!
