Hey Gang,
I am taking delivery of my 2013 Denali BH311 this friday. Trading in my 2012 Palomino 17ft Hybrid... quite the change!

I sadly am forced to tow the Denali with my 2012 Ram 1500 for the first few outings so we will have to keep cargo to a minimum and take it easy. I plan on swappign the 1500 for a 2500 or possibly a 3500 in the coming weeks but for now I am stuck waiting because the Ram 2012's are sold out in my area in the trim level that i want and the 2013's are not out yet.

Anyhting to look out for in these trailers? Any lingering issues or problems? Let me know, this is out firsty crack at "luxury" camping and I am looking forward to it! The outdoor beer fridge is quite appealing!

Cheers!

Welcome Sebber83 ! Those of us in the ranks of the hybrid class wish you the best :-tup .

Ahahah, thanks! We truly enjoyed our little Hybrid, but with an active 2 year old and a wife who works several weekends, the possibility of extending the season with a different trailer was appealing. I only wish I knew of our plans in April when I purchased my truck, but eh, with the proper hitch system, i might get away with it.

We are already removing the rear room sofa and putting in a bunch of little pillows to make a "reading corner" for the daughter, so saving some weight right there! lol!

Thanks for the welcome, this forum looks like a great bank of knowledge and experience!

;-helo-: Sebber83! Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new purchase! Bunks are a must have when you have kids! Happy camping!

Yep, our plug in cooler fried on out last trip, so last friday i was on my way to buy one at Canadian Tire but got sidetracked by a buddy calling me to play hockey, it's a good thing he did, saved me 150$ because the next day we bough the Denali!

Also had major stress relief yesterday, dropped by my buddies place, he just took delivery of a Keystone Passport Premiere (not a fan of the finish) and we hooked it up to my Dodge with just a WD hitch and it towed like a champ, just a little sag in the back (truck was level as opposed to raked) and I had plenty of juice! Now I can't wait to pick up my Denali tomorrow! I will be installing airbags to the rear of the truck tonight, then i should be perfect!

Remember when backing up or as they say in Scotland "Reversing" that "right is left" and "left is right" or is it the other way round... :-? any way enjoy you're new TT and congratulations.

Really the world is flat...then why is it always an uphill battle to get things done? :-hp;

Well the first trip is in the books and it went great! Picked up our Denali at the deal at noon on friday, headed home, loaded'r up and we were at the campsite (75km's away) by pm. Managed to back it in first try and set it up in about 15 minutes. The remote control awning, jacks and slides are actually pretty practical, nothing like holding a beer in one hand and setting up the trailer with the other! Everything went well all weekend, no issues at all! The dodge pulled great! Overall very happy with our BH311!

Thanks... and yeah! We were out again last weekend and everything was perfect! We had a little bit of rain but with all the room inside we actually got to enjoy the trailer even more! We are camping every weekend up until October 15th! Our 2yr old daughter loves it! New playground every weekend! ahahah
