Re: A Welcome Note.

Welcome have a safe trip and enjoy...if you are so inclined posting pics of your maiden voyage would be nice.

"Goingdutch"...a catchy name. If I keep buying TT, TV and camping "stuff " you can call me "GoingBroke" :roll:

Re: A Welcome Note.

OK, so today we picked up our new 2012 Dutchmen Model 196RD. We did a three hour walk through on how everything works (my husband videotaped it). We got it home, so now it is sitting in front of our house. We are complete trailer newbies. We have camped for years in a tent and have decided to move up to a trailer. Our first problem, storage. We have plenty of room on the side of the house. I spent last week digging out a spot to put in a gravel pad. Any advice about how you all store your trailers would be much appreciated. We also have to go get our hoses this week. Any advice about that would also be appreciated. Basically we are scared. What is the best step one for someone who knows nothing?

Hello, PUMKIN1754.

Welcome to the group.

You guys with the new trailers are going to have some great adventures. Just remember, they may be crisis when happening, but campfire or sea story when you reflect on it. ;-) Its all good!

Good luck with the new trailer guys. Try putting everything you think you need in the trailer & have a night camping outside the house. Make a list of things you didn't need & one for what you do. Just a thought.....We were scared to but everything was great & still having fun figuring things out. :-cong

We bought a 2011 31' RL Aerolite in June of 2010. It is great to be here and looking forward to learning from other Dutchman owners!

Welcome, Lstierw, GoingDutch and Pumkin1754! Hope you all have a great camping season! Pumkin1754, I think it's great advice to campout at the house for one night to figure out what you need and don't need, then post some specific questions. Would love to help however we can! :-hp;
