Hello all from Albuquerque, NM. I'm a 1st time owner and just purchased a 2017 Aspen Trail 3010BHDS.

I'm pretty overwhelmed and still haven't actually picked up the trailer yet. I'll have it on Monday 4/3. I'm pretty excited, but nervous at the same time.

I've been lurking around the forums for a couple hours. There seems to be a great deal of information here. I look forward to learning and sharing my experiences.

Welcome to the forums!

Get us some pictures of your new rig and don't be afraid to ask questions, we all had to start somewhere!

Welcome aboard :)

Each trip through AlbaQ with the toy hauler increases my pucker factor ten fold. You'll no doubt experience the courteous motorists of your city on your first trip.
I get in the lane for my exit a ways back, say, at the state line just to be sure I don't get forced past where I want to be.

Most of all, have fun with the TT

Welcome, you are correct the amount of information on this site is amazing. just ask a question and you'll get many people willing to help. Oh and we here like Pictures, so pics of the TT once you get it please. Congrats welcome and remember the travel is as important as the destination, so enjoy both.

wahoonc - Thanks. I'll try to get some good pics posted.

mjcarte - Thank you! Great resource.

sundancer 87 - I'm actually a Sheriff's Deputy for Bernalillo County where Albuquerque is seated. I know all too well about our drivers. LOL You are very correct.

drogers - Thanks. I'll be sure to ask many questions and post pics.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Well, that answers that question. Based on your board name, I was gonna guess you were in the weather biz in some capacity.

Can't say I've ever had any bad experiences driving thru ABQ myself. I've stayed at the KOA there on a couple of occasions... and I've got an old Marine buddy who's now an LEO in Tucumcari.

Haha. Actually, that board name comes from years ago when I had a Chrysler Cirrus and thought I was cool. LOL I know better now.

I'm also a veteran. I was in the 1st Battalion 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment 82nd Airborne Division 2002-2006. Law enforcement is quite suitable to veterans.

1st 325 plays in my backyard...:D

I live on the north side of Fort Bragg in what is known as Anderson Creek or Old Farm area, part of the old Overhills tract.

I-10 east bound going home to Chicago the day after I got out of the navy in '76, clocked at 105 coming off the mountain.

Only ticket I have ever gotten. Wrote it up for 79 because I just got out.

Welcome to the best RV forum and thank you for your service!

Welcome to the best RV forum and thank you for your service!

Three of us Army guys in 1966 were traveling from Fort Lewis to Fort Huachuca got popped by highway patrol somewhere in Utah. We did the Q&A with the trooper and all he could come up with was, 'ain't gonna give you a ticket cause you ain't gonna get there the way you're driving'.
We made it

This is important, especially for a new trailer. There can be lots of stuff that needs to be fixed. Some you might want done before taking delivery.

Also once your have it home there will things you will need to make it livable, towel racks, toilet paper holder. Etc. Go to thrift stores to get your plates, pots and pans etc etc. Get the basics then take a short shake down trip and make lists of the things you did not have.

Welcome form your neighbor in TEXAS. Don't be afraid to ask questions here. If these folks don't know the answer nobody does!
