Thats great news JC. Glad it all worked out...When you out next ?

We are in MacLean Creek from June 22-24. Some friends are coming with us with quads - should be fun!! Then the weekend after that we are at Gull Lake (Aspen Beach) with our neighbours. How about you?

Hi JC. I would like to get out to MacLean Creek the same time as you guy's. It would be good to catch up finaly. Never been out to Gull Lake . " What's it like " ?

I booked a double site on the off chance my neighbour (who has quads) could go but he cannot go. If he couldn't go, I was just going to cancel the other half of the site and give it up to a stranger so you're welcome to it.

Do you guys have quads? The site stipulates that it is for off road vehicle users only though so I think you need to have quads to stay in it (although I am not sure if they even check or care so long as you pay your money).

Have fun playing and play safe. ..

thejean question for u...is there a manual crank to either lower or raise your awning in case the battery runs dead if the electric awning was not on your TT already would you buy one ?

I don't have a manual override. And frankly, not sure a motorized awning is all that big of a deal. I guess the nice part is being able to open it without actually going outside. Would I spend a bunch of money on one? Hell no!

In the future, I will be taking a battery charger with me from now on. Then I can at least plug into shore power and charge the batteries directly instead of relying on the converter. If no shore power, I can use the gens to run the charger.

Thanks bud...I wonder if others have similar views as u. We have the manual roll out awning and it works very well....I was thinking if it wasn't too expensive .. to convert to an electric one...but I think i'll keep the one we have..it is simple and it works.

Have fun quading.

Actually, I had half a mind to switch to a manual one after my incident but figured that would be more trouble than it was worth from a warranty perspective. If it ever fails out of warranty, that's what I'll be doing for sure.

Well, finally a trip with no issues. Everything performed flawlessly this weekend. And I have to be honest, it was a real test as it rained the entire time we were there!!

Wonderful glad things worked out...especially in the rain...just think you didn't have put rain tires on to drift around corners.
Did the FlyingDutchmen meet up with u folks?

No, they chose to head elsewhere. Hopefully they had better weather than us!

And even though I didn't get to drift the RV, I did get to drift some quads so that was fun. MacLean Creek is a pretty neat spot - half hour outside of Calgary and the quad trails are accessible from your campsite.

Second weekend with zero issues - looks like I got all the bugs worked out. I did nearly rip the lid off the stove on the outdoor kitchen but that was my fault.

Thats good news JC. Hope thats the last of the issues for ya..
I'm just waiting for a new DVD & Entertainment system to arrive from Dutchmen as the Dealer wouldn't do anything about replacing the one that was in the unit. ( WRONG ONE ) Was told it was a DVD player but just played music CD's..

I had the entertainment system replaced already too. USB didn't work and the DVDs were playing like old VHS tapes! Now with the new unit the USB does not work again! Looking at getting the touchpad type replaced with the button style...
