My wife and I have been looking at various travel trailers and really like the Kodiak 240bhsl. Looking at purchasing a 2018 model. Anyone out there bought one in the last couple of years that can provide some input on their quality. I know all travel trailers have issues, but have you all experienced any major issues that we need to aware of before signing on the dotted line.

Welcome to the forums!

Do your due diligence! Make sure EVERYTHING works, if you find any major issues don't be afraid to walk away.

Here is a link to a check list to give you an idea of what to look for. FWIW when we bought our Coachmen Concorde, they had two on the lot, the one we bought was 3 weeks older than the other one, but was put together better.

If you find issues, make them fix them BEFORE you sign on the dotted line, don't let your emotions take control... it can get expensive!

We have a 2014

Hi, we have a 2014 240BHSL. In short we LOVE it. Yes we had a few issues over the first couple of months owning it but we got through it and have had may years of adventures in it. We travel full-time as a family of 4 and spend about 8 months of the year in it. Yes, screws fall out, curtain strings wear out and other issues pop up over time but we really like the layout. We've run it pretty hard over the years. Traveling Colorado, California, Canada (BC) and all the way across to Florida. Many dirt roads along the way to access camp spots.
Anyway, it sounds like you are going in with the right mindset (non of them are perfect!). If you like it I'd go for it.
I just posted a picture of ours in the Photo/video section.
Best of luck!
Randy
