I'm a virginia native and avid outdoorsman. After tent camping for many years me and the wife finally pulled the trigger and purchased a TT. It is a 2007dutchman 25f Lite. It was very well takin care and in excellent shape.I will be pulling it with my ram 1500fwd 5.7 hemi. being that it is my first camper are there any must haves, to do's, or don'ts . Any help from you veteran haulers would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

Congratulations and welcome. I would recommend if you haven't purchased them already a weight distribution hitch, sway control device, and an electronic brake controller. Also some basic rv supplies, fresh water hose, rv electrical cord with additional 50, 30, 20 amp adapters, sewer hose, rv toilet paper, toilet chemical, basic tool kit, first aid kit, wheel chocks, and propane. Check out RV Travel Checklist, Camping Check List, RV Supplies - Trailer Life Directory for additional items that you might need.

Congratulations! We just gave in and bought a Good Sam GPS. We've been using their travel planner (great!) for years, but printing out the maps, and even Googling the street view to see turns, streets, etc. Whatever you can do to "look ahead," will pay big rewards when towing any large trailer. You don't want to get shoehorned into a place you have to back out of. BTW, Skarlin's beginning list of materials is a great start!

On an '07 trailer I would check the date code on the tires. If it was well maintained then the stock tires have surely been replaced, but if they're near/over 5 years old I would consider a new set of tires. A blowout can spoil a camping trip, this I know.

I started my RV journey with a 26 ft TT and it has been a blast... Enjoy!!!
