Inadequate water flow.

Since day one on our Infinity 3750FLR, the flow from the faucet at the kitchen sink is pitiful! It doesn't matter whether we are using the pump or hooked up to city water. The other faucets seem to be much better ( not great but adequate). Does anyone have experience with this issue? Is it likely a warranty item or am I doing something wrong?

Greetings Utah Cowboy, welcome to the forum. We've all been there! Unscrew the screen at the end of the wand. You'll likely find a regulator (piece of plastic with a hole in it - maybe 1/8") which you can remove. It won't work like your house taps but like your other taps it is at least usable.

Two things to be aware of. One, if you remove the spray head from the flex hose be sure and secure the hose because it is weighted and will fall through and out of the faucet body.

Two, the white plastic piece does do some restriction of water flow but it also acts as a back flow valve. The valve action keeps the water from dropping back into the hose. What importance this is I haven't concluded yet. The flow restrictor I understand but I don't understand the reason to stop the water from flowing back into the hose unless it's to lessen some of the water weight at the lowest connection point of that particular line. Or perhaps it's to keep the spray wet and not full of air.

Water will seek its own level so the flex line will have water it in regardless of whether the check valve is installed or not. It this case I'm not smater than a fifth grader or even an engineer.

The check valve may be in place to keep yucky kitchen water from being sucked into your potable water system should you have your sink full and the spray nozzle in the sink of water and if there happens to be a sudden loss in water pressure. Think of it as the suction break on all of your outdoor hose bibs. Just guessing.

My check valve must be different from everyone elses. Mine is just a piece of plastic with a very small hole in it. Dropping the wand into the sink and having a drop in pressure would suck up water in both cases because it's just a hole. I was ready to replace my taps up until I removed this plastic piece. I'm not smarter than that fifth grader either and we'll be extra careful now but are happy with the extra pressure.
