Well we bought the cart before the horse, will be borrowing my 80 yo fathers diesel ford for now, if I ever get to retire full time we will look into that truck or something else next year, So far we really know nothing about the Trailer, Lamesa RV in Tucson did a horrible walk through. Hope to learn from the seasoned explorers on here..

300BHSL model, three popouts, which now seems disappointing as I cannot get to the head when they are closed ( 3yo grand daughter wont be happy about holding it until rest area)

As you are new to RVing it's not a big deal. Just open that slide a foot or so to gain access into the bathroom when stopped. We have to do that to get into the frig on our Teton.

Now I remember why I like units without slideouts! I had a Cardinal 5'ver where the slide blocked the fridge, after that I swore I would never have that issue again. Now none of the 3 trailers I own have that issue... no slides to worry about getting stuck either.:-apl

I can appreciate that added room a slide adds to a unit, but that is the least of my worries at this point in time.

yup pretty much new to Rving, have a camper van we took to Mexico alot, bought a tent trailer, until a Dust Devil took the top off of it before we used it. Hitting 55 next year, Been tenting on top of different peaks and mountains for years and the old body wants a nicer place to put my head at night ( plus the CPAP machine is a b*tch to tent with )

Both sides of the bed have a shelf and plug so you are OK.....

My DW is starting to figure out that slides are great when you is parked, but not so when travelling. It's great when we are up for a few days, but I have wander lust and it's a long way between places we set up for a stay.

We have the Airstream for long distance wanderlust... well we will when I get done with the 120 step multi year rehab. The Coleman is for short trips < 6 hour, so far it is working out pretty well. I was going to buy a short AS but my wife said NO MORE PROJECTS! Little does she know....

There are times I wish I still had the Airstream, a lot better mileage than towing the brick.
