Hello Newbie here, just bought a 2015 Dutchmen Kodiak express ultra lite 223RBSL

I have always had inboard Boats for outdoor life, sold the boat and now with the kids gone out on their own it's time for The wife and I to enjoy outdoor life in our second home.
Here in Northern Californy it is also nice to know if a forest fire chase's us out of the house we can just hop in the truck and take off with our home on wheels.
We took it on our first outing to a small lake near the home to break it in.
We learned what to bring and what not to bring, leveling blocks were a challenge, they kept sliding backing on to them.
Now we are planning to go to Bryce canyon NP, and Zion NP.

Not sure why they were sliding. I would say don’t go more than two high without stair stepping them. Also, you might try putting the blocks in front of the tires and pulling the trailer onto them.

Thanks, I made some blocks out of 2 x 12 and cut a 45 angle on one end then drilled four 3/8 holes on the two 2 x12
For 3/8 wood dowels two hold the 2x12 together.
3/8 plywood was screwed to 2x12 to keep from splitting,
Then I stapled a old 12 x 18 truck mud flap to the bottom.
No sliding now and the leveling blocks is adjustable.

I just had a thought why the plastic stepblocks were sliding.
While backing up on to the plastic ramp,
I had my foot on the brake pedal to keep me from backing too far over the ramp.
The electric trailer brakes must of been activated causing the wheel to kick the ramp back. Oh well I like my home made wood adjustable leveling ramps.

Should get 2 of these, there is also another brand which comes with rubber pads which helps to kept them from sliding. I love mine also use together with level mate pro.

I was wondering how to use them, that site that did not show, But I did find another site that showed how they are used, so I'll share that way other people will know.
We all most had to go on our Utah trip early labor day, There was a forest fire that started 5 miles from our home, But the wind blew it away from home, truck is hooked up ready tp leave at any time.

Take your foot off the brake so the wheels will roll. Even slight pressure on the break pedal will try to lock the trailer breaks.

We are getting ready for Bryce Canyon Utah, I'm going unplug the trailer electrical plug from truck just before rolling on to leveling blocks.the blocks have a small surface I'll need the truck Bakes to keep from rolling off the blocks.
