I am a new camper owner and generally just feeling my way around the site. I am driving a 2013 Ford F-150 V6 Ecoboost and pulling a 2014 Aerolite 282DBHS. I picked the trailer up last week in Syracuse, IN and pulled it back home to Mississippi. Total distance 913 miles. Only mishap was a flat tire on the trailer caused by picking up a screw on the way into a rest area. The rig worked well, particularly the Equalizer hitch. No sway, good weight distribution, generally a good pull. I stayed between 60-62 mph on the Interstate and averaged just over 10 mpg. Had some real "trial by fire" moments, gripping the wheel with white knuckles through the traffic of Indy, Louisville, and Nashville.
My wife and I are relocating to Montana and will be camping our way across with the four dogs in a few weeks. I think we'll stick to smaller roads and stay away from the big highways.
I am very pleased with the fit and finish of this trailer. I have not had an opportunity to test all of the systems yet, but have my fingers crossed that everything will be serviceable.
I'll get some pictures up soon.
