I've had this camper a couple years now, and finally decided it needed a new look. I 'almost' went the hard side conversion route, but in the end decided all it really needed was a facelift.

First thing was to open up the floorplan so I didn't feel so cramped. After playing with a little Crayola CAD I decided on the following: removed the "porta potti storage" cabinet, removed the front bench of the side dinette and spin it around to the rear to make a full width couch; turned the little storage cabinet by the front door 90° so that it's now up against the wall; remove the fridge (didn't work anyhow, and I have a nice 12v cooler) and use that space for more storage; remove the AC that didn't work and replace with a Maxxfan. I love the new layout!! So much more room, and my dog can stretch out on the floor if he wants to now.

I went to Menards today and got some floor tile, wallpaper, and some material to make new countertops and a table. Got the floor and walls done this afternoon. Next will be to paint and reinstall the remaining cabinets, cut and stain the new countertops and table and get them installed, and make some new trim pieces to hide some now exposed wires. I noticed tonight looking at the pics I forgot the door lol. I also need to run some new plumbing for the onboard water tank to the sink.

Going camping with friends the last weekend of this month, so I'm excited to get this all finished up by then.

Spent a little time after work last week, and got the rear sofa put together by removing the front bench of the side dinette, turning it 180°, and mounting it up against the back wall next to the other bench. I now have a full width couch along the back. Also spend some time after work rebuilding the front benches.

But I got a LOT done over this weekend, mostly today though. Was able to get the new left side cabinet built, And soon I'll start working on the hinged galley. Also got a new cabinet made for the right side, just inside the door.

I have the wood for the table, the top for the new small cabinet by the door, and for the new countertop for the galley. This wood is from Menards, and they call them "edge glued boards". Inexpensive, and they remind me of butcher block.

Going camping this weekend with a bunny of mine. I won't have everything done, but I was happy to get these two cabinets built over the weekend. It won't be completely finished when we go this weekend, but at least the sides of the box is once again braced to the floor of the camper. Removing the air conditioner and installing a max fan in its place has helped tremendously with the stability and squareness of the top.

I am so happy with how open the floor plan is now!
