Hey,

My name is Jason, my wife and I just purchased our first Travel trailer. We got a 2008 Dutchman Northshore 28BH 5th wheel.

We have been using my parents Terry bumper pull for the last two years but for tired of not having bunks for our two boys.

Not new to towing as I pull two work trailers including a 18’ gooseneck.

Welcome. You're going to love a 5th wheel. Bit of a learning curve on backing in, as it was tougher (at least for me) than a trailer, but once you practice, you're good. Have fun.

Thanks. Definitely a learning curve backing in a 5th wheel of gooseneck.

I’ve got a gooseneck work trailer last year so I have been getting lot of practice

I has some extra 3/4 ply laying around and my track saw setup from working on a customer built in. Figured 12x12 at 3” thick would be good for stabilizer pads.
Gave them a good coat of exterior poly to keep them in better shape.

Might add some 3/4 conveyor belt to them also to keep them from slipping.

I had a customer give me this wheel chock a few years back for my work trailer but it never fit my work trailers. Is it worth using or are they junk?

I get that the question was are they any good.

My parents have x chocks but they aren’t cheap and I have this one already

I tried one on my last trailer that was a bumper tow and didn’t think it was helpful. I now have a fifth wheel with hydraulic stabilizers so just use normal chocks and the stabilizers.

Picked up the Trailer today.

It towed home really nice. Excited to get it set up and to start camping this year. Still a bit of a wait till the weather is nice enough this year to camp.

Not sure why the picture keeps posting upside down.
