Congrats on your new trailer...

Take your time when take delivery, find a PDI checklist to use, there are several good ones on the forum.

Print the Standard/Options list off the Dutchman website and make sure you get all your "loose" goodies, tables, ladders, ect.

PS Also with that much weight if you have an SRW you should consider air bags.

Delayed Delivery

Well just got the call this morning and our toy hauler won't be fully built until sometime next week. Rather have Kodiak take their time and not rush things. Unfortunately this delay cuts into my modification time before heading out on our first trip. I'm loading in etrack for mounting three motorcycles and of course all the necessary gear. :-sad-

Well today's the day! Scheduled for delivery at 2pm central! Kodiak took an extra 9 days and I hope everythings just right. Plan on going over it well before we leave the dealer. At least I have had good relations with them. I'll post this evening.

Well we're home and the new 292 is in the driveway. So far so good, only had a few issues to resolve 1. DVD player doesn't work! 2. Rear table wasn't secured in transport so that needs replacement. 3. Sink didn't have the covers. 4. minor other things. Unit overall looks good and our new truck handles it very well. Personally I need more time behind the wheel and making corners!!!!

Congrats on your new rig. Drive safe & yes turns & corners take more room. Hows your backing skills? Will need them to get into rv sites & when you find you made a turn into some place you don't fit. Not that I've ever done that. Truth me known I've lost track of how many times I've done that in 25 + years of RVing.

Congrats on the Kodiak toyhauler. We bought ours in December, and have been using it regularly this summer. We had a shower leak fixed at CW, and the Jensen audio center had a digital readout that was going nuts. CW ordered a new one, and I replaced it. We have a few more items, relatively minor, that we're accumulating on a list to get fixed at the end of summer. Biggest one is the passenger side window in the bedroom does not open.
Other than that, we're enjoying the 292TQB.

8 full days of owership

Set up of the garage in the first few days. Load in of the rest of the unit by friday night. Left saturday for Chamberlain SD with only electric hook up. Sunday night in Spearfish SD with full hook up!!! Couldn't run sewer since all hook ups were in the rear of the unit and not enough sewer. Loaded up wednesday, backed up the unit and started to dump the tanks. NOTE to all newbies: Make sure valves are closed before leaving dealership!!!!!! Never liked golden showers!!!! Still learning every day!!! Seems everything works including the furnace had to use it the last few mornings.

Has anyone bought a ladder for the back bed????? Where????

So far two wonderful days of riding in the Black Hills!! Tomorrow Custer State Park and more of the twistys!!!

We bought a 3 step step stool from Home Depot. It works well to get into the upper bunk, and we store it on the lower bunk, next to the folding table, when we travel. We secure both the table and stool from sliding off with with a cargo net I bought on Amazon. I hook the corners of the cargo net to the framework of the bunks and nothing slides forward.

First trip shake down

First trip to the Black Hills of SD!!!! Our first stop was Cedar Shores at Chamberlain SD. Good first stop on the Misouri River, only had power the first niht. Second night was the City Campground of Spearfish SD with full hook up! Rode Spearfish Canyon, Devils Tower, Deadwood and Stugis!!!!. Had my gold shower when we were packing up and found out that the valves, both black and gray were partially open.
Moved to Fort Welikit in Custer SD, with full hook up. Rode Custer State Park wildlife loop, Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. Over all put roughly 300 miles on the bikes for the four dayss of riding.
Issues: There's a lot of weight past the axels with three bikes in the toy hauler!!!! Need to investigate airbags. Kitchen window mechanism is not right and will be on my repair list. Trim on the sliding doors popped so will turn that in also. Diamond plate is not diamond plate!!!! Motorcycles crushed it in the back and a rock dented the front plate. Water plug was left in the water heater cover, so I'm glad we had city water at most of our stops. Sliding glass doors need some adjustment so they slide easier. Found out about the antenea booster on the third days... finally had cable at all of our sites. I do like the sani-flush...seems to work well!!!! Heater works!!!! Had to use the furnace three mornings!!!
Next trip is set for Brainerd for some motorcycle racing!!! We'll find out how we live on house water and generator service.
