Dutchmen Product Survey

So is this something that was gleened from somewhere else? Cool!

On another portion of the forum there is a discussion about a 28 foot ultra lite. If you are getting some stuff from Dutchmen, would there be any possibility of getting floor plans of all the different models for different years? That data seems to get lost when the new models come out and I was wondering if a library of old Dutchmen floorplans could be kept here?

Yes, I did.
Just thought it might help Dutchmen Mfg. if I posted a link here.

Maybe, one day, a Dutchmenr Rep will join our forums.
This could possibley help the manufacturer and the owners. :-tup

That would be cool! But I understand if they don't chime in very often. Things seem to get out of hand fast in those types of situations.

No need to worry.
I won't let any thread get out of hand. :-ang

Bad tires

I own a2012 36ft Voltage had nothing but problems it was in the repair shop for 8months after taking just three short trips. Just got it out of storage going to gassup, when i blew a tire steal belt seperated from the rubber, If you think Dutchman is going to join this forem i dought it they wont return my phone calls be ware of the tires they put on infact, change them the day you take delevery, i asked three tire stors to look at the tires and each one said the same thing cheep tires, if the blowout would have happend in the mountins where i was going, well godbles honest dealer when you can find them. Thore Dutchman is only out for the money, I had a Alphen light for 20years never had one problem, Alpenlight regulerly sent me inquires asking for customer feedback, Dutchman wont even return phone calls, that shows you how much they think of there customers.

Jim,, sorry to hear about your Voltage. I too have a Voltage with crappola tires. I made it just over a year when I blew my first china bomb. It left me stranded for a few hours until road service arrived.
What it boils down to is money money money. Twenty years ago our economy was sailing along fat and happy. Today companies are struggling to survive all cost imposed by Washington. Cuts are the soup of the day. Things will get worse before they get better I am afraid.
I am surprised what is turned out by manufactures even make it to the dealers. Times are tough.
Am I siding with the manufactures?? No I am just being a realist. The fat and happy days of customer service are gone.
BTW if you travel the world you will see we were the only country with the type of customer service we expect. You can thank Washington politics for bringing us down to the levels of other countries.

I am so unhappy with my 2014 Dutchman Voltage V 3800 problems with Main Slide, Water gauge didn't work, Front Burner doesn't work, Razor Cuts in gel coat I was told that's normal ?, Decals coming off, Exterior trim in moldings keeps popping out or cut to short, Rear toilet has come loose cant use that, rear camera only works about 50 % of the time. Its been at two different Dealers . I have about 40+ saved e-mails to dealers and Dutchmans Warranty Dept. I thought that RVing was going to be fun going through all this not fun. We've have missed out on a few fun trips with friends and family Saved up for eight years paid cash , I'm retired didn't want to have payments. what a disappointment , Dutchman Warranty Dept. no help. I regret purchasing this unit

One has been there, but not sure if she still is. It would be nice if the owners would participate fro rallys and we could invite them. I did have one that was going to come, but owners were not able to come.

Tried putting together another one, but no interest.

Same as you, I have felt your pain from Dutchmen. I too, had many issues. Later, after warranty, Dutchmen factory would listen but would not respond. I have gotten our unit pretty much straightened out after two very long years.........no help from Dutchmen.

Sundancer87 got in touch, just recently, with Keystone. The Dutchmen CEO's were so bad that Keystone has had to step in and take over Dutchmen warranty.

I'm sure that you can PM Sundancer and get the skinny on what he was successful at doing.

Good Luck!

Another unhappy owner

I too have a Voltage 3200. I bought mine new in 2011 and have had nothing but problems with it every since. They had to fix several issues before I even got off the lot. The trailer was in the shop for 100 days of my first year of ownership. The list of problems is too big to list here, but check out my newest one. I just purchased a Dish Tailgater satellite system and when I hooked it up it only plays on the main television connected with an HDMI cable. I called the dealer and he told me I would probably have to replace the splitters and possible cable ends to get it to the rest of the televisions. I pulled the main switch panel off and found 2 splitters behind it. One is a 2 way splitter with a cable connected to one output and going up into the wall, another cable connected to the other output and just laying there not hooked to anything and nothing connected to the input at all. The other is a 4 way splitter with a cable connected to the input and two of the outputs but nothing to the other outputs. When I called Dutchmen their attitude was basically that the warranty is for 12 months and they won't do anything. I can understand that if something breaks or wears out after the warranty period, but in this case I am talking about shoddy workmanship from the factory and they should take care of it. I guess the lesson I have learned is try everything possible with your new Dutchmen before the warranty is up and by the way bring a wallet full of money too.:(

I just purchased a Dish Tailgater satellite system and when I hooked it up it only plays on the main television connected with an HDMI cable.

My tailgater took much troubleshooting with different connections to finally get the right ones made. Right now, my main TV runs on HDMI and all of my others run on the already installed coax. I get a picture to all three coax tv's with no issue. I do not recall seeing a second splitter behind my panel but I wouldn't rule it out. I just started disconnecting things, made a one line diagram and now it works perfectly.

BTW, make sure your antenna booster is off. Once the booster is turned on, it overrides the satellite signal.

I paid the dealer to install Direct TV w/ antenna. When I activated the box it had a fuzzy picture to all but the main TV. I could see a two way splitter behind the box that looked like it was added by the dealer. Took off the bathroom cabinet by removing the four screws in each corner and found a four way splitter behind the main TV that looked factory which was feed by one side of the two way splitter with the other side to the main TV. I removed the two way splitter and ran the Direct TV out directly to the four way splitter, put the main TV in place of the loft and now I have a clear picture to all four TV's.

If I ever need to reconnect the loft I'll run the main TV with an AV or HDMI connection off the box and hook the loft back up to the splitter.

With two other trailers I've owned poor picture quality was due to issues with these splitters.

2020 Dutchmen Kodiak Ultimate POS

7 months into the saddest ownership experience of any large purchase ever, I will complete a trip at the end of the year and ditch this complete sad excuse for a finished product.
The “PDI” joke, The RVIA & Dutchmen are all just part of a huge sad greedy industry that needs to change.
Decades ago I owned an RV that the manufacturer actually cared about and responded to my issues with their quality control/Engineering support, those days are gone for all RV’s apparently at any price point. I will drive my automobile and stay at hotels to discover this Country in my retirement now.. That statement really saddens me. Thor Industries THANK YOU for a most disappointing experience in which your product NEVER failed to disappoint!

Lemons appear in every product. Loved my 2015 Voltage 3990. Love my Riverstone Legacy 38MB even more. While minor issues pop up, you fix them and move on. My warranty person at Riverstone has been super, and even covered things out of warranty. Many more people are satisfied with their RV experience than not, they just don't write about them.

We have had the same problem with tires. Yes they are cheap tires but this wasn’t our first rodeo. I hope with every new purchase they would get it right….nope. Fortunately I found tires for our 2022 Voltage 4245 that are awesome. They are Hartland tires. They have a lifetime warranty up to 5/32 inch of tread. They are awesome tires and they don’t break the bank either. Have had them on the rig for awhile with a trip from Arizona to Georgia to Tennessee
