I was hoping to come to Colorado next year. We were there 8 years ago with kids and would like to do it with the two of us. Although I must admit Mi. is a very pretty state with a lot to do all year round.

We were trying to get to Colorado this year but I was having some scheduling issues, not enough vacation days. We're going to try again 2014. If you decide on Colorado, we'll do our best to be there. I've driven through MI, pre marriage and kids, never camped there, but would love to someday.

Ludington is about 1/2 way up the west coast of Mi. It is north of Holland Mi and South of Traverse City. It sits right on lake michigan. It is a real nice city and a great RV park. There is also a state dune park a few miles away. Hope you will take the time and we will see you there. These can be a lot of fun and a great way to meet of Dutchmen owners. Also congrats on your new purchase.

Hmmmmmm.... My wife is gone that weekend but thinking about attending this. I can get on the SS Badger about an hour from my house and it goes right to Ludington. I'm sure the kids would love the ferry ride!

Are there certain sites at the RV Park that you're looking at?

I hope you can make it. Your right I'll bet the kids would love it. My wife and I have always wanted to take the SSBadger. It really looks like fun. There are sites reserved, but it is too early for them to give them out. If you've never been to Poncho's Pond it is a nice place. I saw your post on RV.net. I guess I'm not the only one on multiple sites.

Ok Dave...What is the SS Badger??? Please enlighten this dumb Canuck...Is this some kind of inland Disney Cruise ship?? I know all about the SS Minnow by watching Gilligan's Island on TV ...but I didn't realize Badger's were so famous or infamous u named ships after them like the Queen Mary???

Coops the confused one:confused::-hp;

The SS Badger is a passenger and vehicle ferry in the United States that has been in Lake Michigan service from 1953 until the present. Currently, she shuttles between Ludington, Michigan, and Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She is the last coal-fired passenger vessel operating on the Great Lakes.
The boat is named after the University of Wisconsin's athletic mascot,[3] "Bucky Badger". The Badger runs on Michigan time (Eastern Time Zone, whereas Wisconsin is in the Central Time Zone) and riders pay Michigan taxes on their fares.

Hi Bill & Sallie, I put the information for the event on my calendar. I have a conflict around that date that I have to attend but as yet the exact date has not been set. Should know dates soon. Hope you have a great rally!!!
Aaron

Anyone can go with a Dutchman. Ludington is east coast of Mi approximately the middle of the state.

Unfortunately not looking good... My wife is gone that weekend and would like to come with us. Also have 2 friends with Kodiaks that would like to make the trip but have conflicts that weekend. So maybe next year but not that weekend if you can. And the west side of Lake Michigan would be good too! :LOL::)
