Hello. I'm having an issue with my RV Black Water valve stuck. It only slides out some but not enough to release. Any hints or tricks are much appreciated. We just got the trailer this weekend and that is the only hiccup. Don't wanna pull too hard and break the rod

May need to be replaced.

You could try lubrication like WD40.

May be able to put a couple gallons of water in each tank in hope of breaking up whatever has cemented the valve shut.

I don’t think replacement is an extremely hard job, but can be super messy not done correctly.

Hey thanks. Will spray WD-40 and play with it a bit more. I have replaced a valve before on another trailer which had it exposed. This one the valve itself sits behind the underbelly cover. Hoping it will open.

when I cut in my underbelly to fix my tank, I carefully cut through it little by little with a safety knife and kept checking inside to be sure I did not nick any wires.

I recommend any tape on the bottom except underbelly tape. That kept falling off no matter the prep. I’m going to replace that underbelly tape with black 3m tape.

If you use a dry lubricant like silicone or blaster dry lubricant, may work.

Thanks. Just thought about maybe inserting a hose into the opening and flush some water and hopefully make it reach where the valve is. Maybe loosen up any cemented stuff

The way the valves are made, they are like a curtain. Most likely, the cable is the culprit. I have heard of folks using the WD-40 like Rockko suggested and lube up the cable as well as you can. If you are thinking of replacing the valve, go electric! Much better system and very much worth the money.
