My "new to me" 2008 Aerolite 24RBSL has aa vertical channel on the rear to hold the spare tire. The channel is attached by four bolts, approximately 6" apart horizontally and 12" vertically. My question is how to find if the support for this spare carrier runs to the height of the trailer. If it does, I can tap into it to add a bike carrier. Being an aluminum frame a magnet stud finder won't help me.

A stud finder should work, as it is measuring the density of the material that makes up the wall.

Another trick is to go out first thing in the morning when there has been a heavy dew. The framing will show up as lines up the side of the trailer.
