I am new to owning a Dutchman trailer. I love the layout of my Kodiak ultimate front Kitchen. That being said ...Does anyone else out there think that it is bad designing that they have the cabinet doors open up and have no way of them to stay there while you are trying to put something inside.
I am a very petite woman and trying to hold the door open while placing things inside with one hand is ridiculous!!! So I attached magnets to the door handles and put magnets on the ceiling. Now I don't have that problem anymore. But seriously this should have been a no-brainer at the design level.

Thank you, Franktafl.
In answer to your question, yes my RV is level. What I was describing is the design of the simple hinges on cabinet doors that open up. I have been in other RVs that have these type of doors but they have stiff hinges or hydraulics that keep the doors up when you open them.
My fix with the magnets is working fine.
Thanks again for your response 😊👍

:ambivalence: Oops, I MIs interpreted your first post about your doors! I now realize what your are talking about! I have ONE of that type door and it has a spring loaded hinge that definitely holds the door open! I would guess the magnet idea is a good one…

We have the same camper. We ordered new hinges from amazon and installed them. Ours stay open now. Worth the small investment of time and money!

This is what we ordered:

I installed these since they should have been installed by Dutchman. Amazon.com

We had similar door support struts and found that the screws that anchored them to the particleboard of the cabinets worked their way loose. We ended up installing the spring loaded hooks that hold the doors open, and they work great. Simple, cheap and 7 years of service with no problems. ;)
safe travels and all the best.

We’ve had them installed since 2016 and haven’t had any issues with the screws holding. Our cabinets aren’t particleboard so maybe that helps. Thanks for the reply.

We had the door support struts but they kept working loose where they were screwed in. We ended up installing the spring loaded hooks that hold the door open. They are simple easy to engage and release and work great, after over 8 years of use.
