Hey y'all my name is Nick and I own a 99 lite 10th anniversary and I'm having trouble with the awning. I can get it open but the levers to unlock it to raise it up aren't unlocking it. I'm new to this and have no idea how to do it nor do I have the time to take it somewhere as my wife and I have 5 kids.
Thank you for any input.

Looks like something may be broken, when that lever is up that round pin should release allowing you to raise the awning. Maybe it just needs some wd-40 or gently tap on the end of that pin with a punch and hammer.

I pushed the pin in and the spring isn't stuck. It's riveted on so I don't think I can take it apart to look inside

Maybe the slides are just froze up? If that pin releases those arms should move.
There may be a release latch somewhere else? It's been a few years since I had a manual awning. Isn't there another rod that slides down inside that channel? Seems like I had to turn a star shaped plastic knob to release it.

Yea that's the one that slides up that keeps the vinyl taught.
I've watched all the videos on how to open a manual awning but can't find anything on that issue

Sorry, I cant be of more help. That thing is supposed to slide, a bigger hammer maybe?:D

If you do get it working, be sure to leave it tilted to one side for drainage. If left flat you can collapse the awning in a good rain.

I had the opposite problem My pin would not engage.
Try spraying the pin and anything else you can get to with some silicone spray. If that doesn't work then look at the handle it should be held in place with pop rivets. Carefully drill out the pop rivets and remove the handle and clean the inside and then spray some silicone spray on the pin and inside area oh the handle. The pin and the handle tend to get clogged with dirt etc.

You should be able to push the pin back in Again try plenty of spray But the best fix will be to remove the handle and clean it up

I sprayed it all with PBlaster but that did nothing.
I don't have a rivet gun so how should I reinstall it?

Get a rivet gun at Lowes about $20.00 They come in handy. Drill out the head on the old rivet Don't use to big of a drill bit. Get the right size and length new rivets. I would recommend that you do both handles. There is nothing hard about doing the repair. Also replacement handles/kits are available at most camping supply stores and even then you will need the rivet gun I you do it yourself
