Hello, I have a 2024 Colemen LT 18bh and it says its solar ready. I know there is a lot of things that I need to add solar to my trailer. By first question is where do the wire run to for the solar panels I would install on the roof? I believe I have a Go power cable entry plate on the roof where my solar panels would plug in to. But where can I locate the wires from there to install my solar controller? Thanks

pre wired solar

The RV manufacturers (as they say in TX, bless their hearts) have no standard for "prewired". So here are some thoughts...
1) the best prewire includes ports on the roof and on the side.
2) ports on the roof are terminated (more on this) and ports on the side are direct connected to the battery
3) THIS DOES NOT HOLD for any RV, the manufacturers simple lie
4) Ports on the roof SHOULD be wired to a cubby, or behind a wall, or what ever so you can add a solar charge controller.
5) Ports on the side should be wired through a fuse directly to the battery (hence the portable panel need a charge controller)

So you need SOMEONE to test your pre-wired system to help you figure out the manufacturers lies.

Just my 2 cents.

It is not all that helpful, but it does contain links to various system that have been installed in different trailers. Pick the correct link to see instillation instructions for your unit.

SOLAR READY
If equipped, a solar panel kit is provided with your RV. For care and operation, please refer to the manufacturer's
instructions supplied with the RV and/or www.fsi-solutions.com, www.zampsolar.com, or www.gpelectric.com.

Ask your dealer what kit he would install and where he would put it.

Ask GoPower. Probably way too many options for a clear answer, but you never know.

Look in front storage bay.

Look in electrical bay.

Roof connection --- Solar controller --- Battery

Solar controller is usually installed near the battery for efficient charging.

Possible remote display location.

Some Kodiak Cub's have a connection location in front storage bay close to battery on tongue. It is for an inverter and solar controller. Lots of different kits can be installed.
