Hello Everyone,

I just ordered a 2015 3895. I have a list of the changes incase anybody was interested in what will be different.

1. No safe under the bed
2. No Wifi Ranger
3. Getting rid of the large window on entry door. (smaller one)
4. Sony TV in main living area is different brand. (not sure what yet)
5. Blue Ray player being replaced with standard DVD player
6. Sony sound bar will be a different brand (not sure what yet)
7. Kenwood player in back will now be Sony with Sony speakers.
8. LED strip is not multi colored. Just white lights

Two major changes on the 3895 that are important to me are:

1. They lowered the TV in the living room. I really don't like how high the TV is in the 2014.
2. The bedroom now has a pocket door. The 2014 door opened outward as did the bathroom door. That makes it difficult to navigate around.

I hope this helps anyone out there trying to decide on a 14 vs a 15.

Jason

I do have the pocket door on the 14. Like, although the snap does not hold well to keep it open during travel.

Some of the later built 2014s have pocket door. Guess it's the transition stage to the 15s? Thanks for the heads up about the snap!

I am going to change mine out to Velcro Having the the pocket door though is great. Congrats on your order! When is the ETA?

My '14 3895 has the bedroom door that swings out, and yes navigating the hallway between the bedroom and bath is awkward.

A pocket door would be great, but a retro fit would be impractical if not impossible.

What I have considered is reversing the bedroom door to swing in, which would involve reversing the frame, resetting the hinges and perhaps trimming the bottom of the door to clear the sidekick.

As far as any of the other changes listed... I prefer my 2014.

You'll like the pocket door & TV arrangement on your 2015... Enjoy!!!

My 2014 3895 also has the pocket slider. We took delivery the beginning of April. Much better than trying to navigate 2 doors opening into each other.

Do you guys and gals like the tv up high? Oh would you prefer it lower? I've seen them lower in other models. Seems more practical. Especially if you sit in the two chairs by the fridge.

High or Low is not going to change the 45 degree viewing angle in the 3895 layout. A swivel mount may help, but only for one side at a time. What helps even more is the 50 inch screen.

I took the TV angle into consideration, but having the extra seating with the two couches is why I chose a 3895.

Agree with Mr Toad. Plenty if spots with good views of the TV. And the kiddos, most likely in a different room if we are forced indoors for extended time.

The sound bar I beleave is made by Yamaha, "Air Surround Xtreme". Also I think the Sony stereo is a touch screen also like the Kenwood.

I guess I should have clarified. The stereo in the back will be touch screen. Just a different brand. I was thinking about putting the main TV on a swivel mount. Have you guys found one where the TV is still flush with the cabinets if it is pushed in?

The rep and I spoke at length... Take a salesman as you see fit, but he mentioned now is the time he would buy... And he was. So I did, 2014 special order 3950 on the way. He told me the manufacture changed to Keystone, with combined purchasing power and consolidated manufacturing. This partnered with purchase value is all time high, 2015 "we won't be able to offer the same package at this price".

They are trying to keep the price down on their units. I think they ought to give the buyers the option of what you want on them.

My 3200 '15 arrived. TV's are a blah brand, but they work. Yamaha sound bar. Regular DVD player.

You would think they would have installed a blue ray. Or, at least tied the bedroom tv into the DVD player in the 3200!

I know! Maybe they could have put light switches for the kitchen/main living area outside the main control panel.
