Hi, all!

Just got a 1996 Dutchman 1204. Took it out camping the other day for a test run, just 30 mins out of town. Had a support fail on the king bed, no one got hurt, but one of the bedslides got a bit bent up.

I hit it with a hammer and was able to pack it back up, but it looks like I'll need to replace that slide. I measured it at 74". Don't know if I can just go buy a 72" generic one and call it good, afraid i would pay a bunch for shipping then find it doesn't fit.

Any advice on how to get a replacement for this one?

Thanks in advance

Finding a replacement bed slide could be tough. I made a mistake while setting up my 1996 Coleman Sun Valley and put weight on a bed without the supports in place. Mind you I pulled that pop up all over the country for 15 years before this happened... Bent the frame. I too used a hammer to get things back in place. On Craig's List I found a guy parting out a 1996 Coleman (not a Sun Valley, but very similar) and bought the slide assembly and bed from him. My son in law and I replaced it. Not as easy as it sounds, but we got it done. We gave the Sun Valley to my kids in 2011 after we bought our first TT and they are still using it.

Good luck.
