Hi Everyone,

I'm having trouble installing a 12' Aleko motorized awning on my 1993 20' trailer. The corrugated siding is preventing me from mounting the bracket flush on the outside. In addition, I can't find where the studs are that run horizontally. The manual for the awning doesn't specify needing studs for installation but that seems crazy. It's around 60lbs.

Anyone out there that can help?? I'd appreciate it!

Thank you Franktafl,
I think that is my solution. I was also looking into jumper brackets but was worried they wouldn't be strong enough. I feel like the screws are going into no man's land. I get so nervous putting holes into it.

I'll let you know what I ended up doing.

Thanks, make sure you send pictures and be sure to put butyl tale between the plate and the Rv at each screw location and good luck but I believe that would be the way to go and allows for more screws than what is in the bracket.
