I would like to purchase a Starlink system, I’m curious how other users get the cable inside their rig.
Did you purchase those wall plates, if so from where?
I have a 2026 Reflection 150 series, I would like to feed the cable into cabinet above and behind the kitchen table.
Hi. The port in the photo above was the result of hours of work with a 3D printer to get everything right. I was trying to figure out the same thing, how to get the cable into the camper without having to leave the door open. My son and I ended up with the final version shown above, it works great. So I drilled a hole thru the camper wall, and installed the port shown above. Then I had the option to wire it direct to the camper battery and try to run it off the 12 volts. The issue was voltage loss over the stock supplied 50' cable, as the starlink mini runs on 12 - 48 volts. With the long cable, the voltage dropped down to under 12 volts. So I purchased a voltage booster off amazon, which boosts it from 12v to 24v. The booster was around $25. So I wired the starlink port to the voltage booster, and the booster to the battery. I did put a fuse in between the battery and booster on the positive side.
Now I can just plug in the starlink mini directly into the port on the outside of the camper and it works perfectly.
I can give more detailed info if you want, and also we have printed up several of the ports. We are asking $20 per port.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Thank you for the information.
Is the mini port in one of the pictures?
If I ran this through the battery compartment, I'm curious how I might get a cable to the location in the kitchen, just above the Lippert control panel. Does Starlink have a access point?
The starlink mini rims totally off the connection to the port that we made. That port is connected directly to the battery. The router is actually built into the dish which simplifies everything. So drill your hole and mount the port in a convenient location close to the battery. Once it's plugged in and running you access the mini starlight control from your phone or laptop via wifi
My 26 Reflection has ports in the cubby and above the kitchen table, that says Starlink. I have to find out from GD if I can plug a Starlink into this port, and have the router on the other end.
After seeing so many people using the starlink mini on the Sierra Trek Overlanding run I broke down and got one last week. Instead of running it from the camper (which I can still do) I'm using the 12v port I installed on the truck years ago.
